Garena, the world's leading online game developer, has set a clear goal for its headquarters in Singapore: to create an immersive workplace similar to a digital playground, so that work and entertainment can coexist harmoniously without affecting enterprise functions. The new workplace should also be aligned with its brand values, focusing on a people-oriented and digital centric approach to optimize employee engagement.
The adventure starts from the lobby. Garena's fire red logo on the white wall attracts people's attention to two leisure areas. The track line on the floor acts as a pathfinder to visually guide people into the internal office. Through a long corridor, there are a row of conference rooms on both sides of the front area. Each conference room uses a digital enhanced accent to evoke its own theme.
Next to the waiting area, the main wall of the guest meeting room displays an art combination of LED screens. The idea behind using the TV screen is to convey movement and constant change, reflecting the fast-paced progress of Garena's works.
Color is also crucial in shaping digital themes. In one of the meeting rooms, the design team explored programmable RGB linear lighting, which allows users to adjust different colors to produce the mood they want. For other conference spaces, colorful wallboards are creatively combined, similar to pixel art. To balance the theme of digital inspiration with a hint of nostalgia, one of the discussion rooms is decorated with beautiful line drawings of Garena's first office in Singapore. From here, the track line is further extended to the main work area and becomes the central accent to supplement the company like setting. One of the main walls is also equipped with fine illustrations of Singapore attractions, adding a touch of cultural charm to it.
